DISCLAIMER

  1.  ALL REPAIRS ARE EXPECTED TO BE PICKED UP & PAID IN FULL WITHIN 72 HOURS OF COMPLETED REPAIR, INCLUDING ANY STORAGE FEES IF APPLICABLE 
  2.    When lifting older vehicles, there may be unforeseen challenges or components that may need replacement before the work can be performed properly. In the case of a component issue, the owner of the vehicle will be contacted before any further work is completed.  
  3. Modifying your vehicle for off-road use may result in the vehicle handling differently than a factory equipped vehicle.
  4. Extreme care must be used to prevent loss of control or vehicle rollover. Failure to drive your modified vehicle safely may result in serious injury or death 
  5. Larger rim and tire combinations may increase leverage on suspension, steering, and related components. When selecting combinations larger than OE, consider the additional stress you could be inducing on the OE and related components.
  6.  Post suspension system vehicles may experience driveline vibrations. Angles may require tuning, slider on shaft may require replacement, shafts may need to be lengthened or trued, and U-joints may need to be replaced.
  7.  Due to payload options and initial ride height variances, the amount of lift is a base figure. Final ride height dimensions may vary in accordance to original vehicle attitude. Always measure the attitude prior to beginning installation Brake lines, and ABS sensor wires may no longer have adequate travel after a vehicle is lifted, and will have to be replaced or upgraded.
  8.  A locking front or rear differential cannot be used on paved surfaces, doing so will void all warranties.
  9.  Differentials must be broken in following the break in procedure. Failure to do so will void all warranties.
  10. Fitting larger than stock tires may cause rubbing issues with plastic or metal components.
  11. In order to perform a road test, the vehicle must be legally registered to drive in the State of California, with up-to-date insurance and registration. 
  12. Due to the nature of our business, completion dates are subject to change. 
  13.  The vehicle must return to complete a 500-mile checkup which includes a re-torque of suspension components. Failure to do so will void all warranties. 
  14. There is NO warranty of any kind on customer supplied components 
  15. Modification of the vehicle may result in, but not limited to; Increased fuel consumption, Increased strain on powertrain, Increased wear on suspension and steering components, higher center of gravity, increase in fuel consumption and a loss in engine power. Modifying a vehicle may void factory warranties on vehicle.    
  16.  The warranty does not cover abuse, neglect, misuse, accidents, overheating, modifications, aftermarket equipment, pre-existing conditions, or failures of related components not originally replaced. Towing, teardown, diagnostic, and reassembly charges are the customer’s responsibility. Incidental and consequential damages are excluded.  
  17.  We cannot be held liable for abuse, neglect, misuse, accidents, overheating, modifications, aftermarket equipment, pre-existing conditions, or failures of related components not originally replaced.   1.  Modifications to vehicle may cause vehicle to no longer be "road-legal".  It is up to vehicle owner to make sure their vehicle stays compliant with road rules and regulations for on highway use vehicles. 
  2. There is no warranty implied for any vehicle that is abused outside of normal operating parameters.
  3. Shepard's Automotive is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or articles left in vehicle in case of fire, theft or any other cause beyond shop.
  4.  We cannot control how you use your vehicle or how the vehicle will perform. 
  5. Modifications to a vehicle's electrical system pose a fire hazard.
  6. Installing aftermarket electrical products on vehicles carries significant risks: primarily voiding manufacturer warranties, potential electrical system failure, battery drain, and severe fire hazards.
  7. Modern vehicles use complex, sensitive electronics (CAN bus systems) that can be compromised by aftermarket accessories, leading to abnormal vehicle operation and severe safety issues. 
  8. Adding accessories like high-powered audio, lights, or winches can exceed alternator capacity, resulting in dead batteries, failed components, and potential fire hazards.
    We can not be held responsible for aftermarket electrical components that are not certified for on-road use, and comply with FMVSS. 
  9.   If the vehicle drives through water; ie, off-roading. The vehicle must be inspected thoroughly to make sure water has not ingressed into any driveline, electrical or interior compartment/component. 
  10. Wet electronics will pose a fire risk. Water in drivetrain components can be detrimental to the drivetrain. Winching safely is the responsibility of the vehicle operator. Familiarize yourself with the operations of all safety equipment and how they operate. 
  11. Aftermarket lights may be blinding to other drivers if used on highways, and can cause an accident. Aftermarket lights may not be certified for On-road use and must be deactivated or covered .
    DOT legal fog lights are allowed for on-road use.
  12. Aftermarket suspension may not be road-legal. Shepard's automotive holds no liability for the abuse of a vehicle.  Off-road use is not covered by warranty due to the abusive and damaging nature of the activity. Manufacturer's warranty varies.
